Absolutely each and every person in the halls of governance, especially in the top tier three, should be required to honorably experience at least a sprinkling of the Ken Burns series of historical recollections—better yet, all.

It could be ventured to declare that most of these films give honor, declaration, witness to the many named and unnamed, famous and hidden, who gave the last full measure for a constantly progressing— inclusive—diverse—equity of democracy.
The last full measure is usually known to indicate the ultimate gift of exchanged life for the good of others shared by a fallen soldier. But it is in truth also an accurate expression of the countless who have endured a struggle through the end of their lives, having never experienced the realization of their just cause.
Any satisfaction was simply known through the successful hand off of the precious baton that was carried and cared over and for throughout their lifetime, relinquished in trust. Never themselves to physically cross that infinitesimally thin line separating struggle from success. Their evidence of commitment is truly a gift for others in the last full measure.
In essence Elizabeth Cady Stanton conveyed such a truth in her eloquent address entitled ‘Solitude Of Self’. An SOS of sorts that is on many occasions an unanswered call for assistance. And is an exemplary representation of countless other preciously shared gifts.
And as yet, there is this constant requirement of a democracy—a government of-by-for we the people—to strive in achieving an everlasting full measure of appreciation; honoring those ultimate gifts that were shared toward a more inclusive realization of respectfully shared unalienable rights. Being ever more accepting of varied opinions and miscellaneous living pursuits toward truly attainable happiness at the level of each individual through a world community of states of well beings on a respectfully shared planet.
